On Friday 18 October, the MP for East Hampshire Damian Hinds came into Churcher’s College Senior School to take part in a Q&A session with pupils about Climate Change.

12-year-old Churcher’s College student William Lall this week attended a World Wildlife Fund for Nature (WWF) lecture at The Royal Institution in London.

​Vanessa Pearson left Churcher’s College in 2016 to go to the Arts University Bournemouth to pursue her passion for art and design. This summer Vanessa graduated with a First Class BA (Hons) degree in Modelmaking and the highest grade in her year. She was also awarded the ‘Dean’s Prize for the School of Art, Design and Architecture’ at her graduation ceremony.

Five GCSE biology students at Churcher’s College have successfully won gold medals at the Royal Society of Biology (RSB) annual Biology Junior Challenge competition. The victorious students are Josiah Wilson, Mara James, Jack Foremen, Oliver Fogelin and Jasper Jones. Nearly 50,000 students from across the world take part in the RSB Junior Competition and only the top 5% achieve a Gold Medal.

Enormous thanks go to the members of South Central Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust who very kindly spent all day on Wednesday 16 October teaching our First Year pupils about CPR and safe defibrillator use on World Restart A Heart Day.

Churcher’s College pupils, 13-year-old Lottie and 15 year old Kai Jackson, competed in the Swim England National Championships in Sheffield in August 2019. The siblings both made the final with Kai coming 7th overall in the 200m Backstroke and Lottie 6th in the 100m Butterfly.
