St Swithun’s School in Winchester recently hosted a day of Olympic sports for pupils from local primary schools. The initiative was part of both the St Swithun’s partnership programme and its Path-to-Paris 2024 scheme to give young people the opportunity to experience all of the sports which feature in the Olympics before the 2024 Paris games.

Two athletes from St Swithun’s School, Winchester, have qualified to represent Hampshire at the forthcoming English Schools Track and Field Championships. 16-year-old Isabelle Law and 13-year-old Abi McBriar will compete in the javelin and discus respectively.

St Swithun’s, Winchester, has been shortlisted for the TES Pupil Mental Health Initiative of the Year award 2022. The school has developed and implemented an outstanding bespoke wellbeing curriculum called Positive Education based on the principle of positive psychology.

14-year-old Natalie Wingfield, currently studying for her GCSE qualifications at St Swithun’s School in Winchester, has been elected Surrey Young Mayor.
