Bethany School partners with Maidstone United to offer ‘Football Excellence Pathway’

Initially open for boys aged 13 to 15, the Football Excellence Pathway will go on to include both boys and girls aged 11 to 18 in the coming years.

The pathway has been set up to target both UK and International pupils who aspire to become elite level footballers whilst, at the same time, pursuing a strong academic education. Bethany recognises the significance of providing a comprehensive child centred education that nurtures both intellectual and physical aptitudes, and the Football Excellence Pathway is tailored to achieve this.

Players have the unique opportunity to register and play with age group specific teams at Bethany’s local professional football club, Maidstone United. This will involve weekly training sessions and matches at the Gallagher Stadium with their Maidstone United teammates, where pupils will learn advanced skills enabling them to unlock potential and take their game to the next level.

Francie Healy, Headmaster of Bethany School UK, said: “As Headmaster, it fills me with enormous pride to be part of Bethany School’s ongoing commitment to innovation, offering our pupils to pursue their passions and reach their full potential. I am confident that our Football Excellence Pathway will not only cultivate the talents of our footballers, but also instil in them the virtues of discipline, teamwork and resilience that will service them well in their future lives.”
