Brentwood School Equestrian team County Champions again
Posted on 19th Mar 2020 in School News, Competition, Sport, WinnersBrentwood School’s Equestrian team continued their winning streak at the weekend with a showjumping masterclass which saw them crowned NSEA Essex County Champions for the third time.
The successful team of Charlotte, Ben, Emma and Sophie will now represent the county at the National County Dressage and Show Jumping Championships at Hartpury College later in the year.
The team, competing at the Beechwood Equestrian Centre, took the honours in the 100/105 show jumping class with Charlotte individually placed a super 3rd in the same event. The four riders were also splendid runners up in the 90/95 County qualifier with Sophie a great 5th individually too.
Team Coach, Mrs Annette Philpot, said: “Huge congratulations to these riders who remained calm under pressure to ride super rounds over courses which caused many eliminations and difficulties. Those hours of dedicated practice and training were rewarded with these super results.”
The Brentwood School team have been County Champions twice before and in 2017 even went on to be overall National Champions. Let’s hope they can emulate that success this time around.
