Brentwood School orienteers strive for perfection

Brentwood School’s enthusiastic bunch of orienteers will re-group at this week’s O-Club meeting to evaluate last Sunday’s successful outing to Langdon Hills.

Head of Orienteering, Mrs Rachel Barford, praised the team on their weekend performance but warned them not to rest of their laurels. “Have a good look at the results, and at your map, and think your way through the course again,” she urged.

Standout results included Kate Bowie-Britton (50.24), Heather Trevelyan (52.55) and Sarah Prior (59.42) who were 2nd, 3rd and 4th girls home on the Orange 3km course.

Brentwood Preparatory School Year Six pupil, Jake Horton, had a brilliant time on the White 1.56km route even though he forgot to punch checkpoint number 8!

Sam Lee was 2nd place on the Yellow (2.66km) course in a fantastic time of 28.51 and Janie Horton was 3rd girl home in a time of 40.40. The rest of the Brentwood pack romped home with many similar times.
