Former Bedford School boy, Jonno Davies, who was educated at the school between 2001 and 2010, will soon be back on our screens, in Amazon Prime’s new 10-part blockbuster Hunters, released on 21 February.
Pocklington School was used as a film location by production company Five Fifty Five Productions Ltd. over the Christmas holidays, following an enquiry from former student George Jibson. George is now the Production Manager for a new docu-drama the company is working on, named Hellfighters.
The Pocklington School Foundation (PSF) Careers and Business Network held its latest event in the Schools’ new Art & Design Technology Centre recently, with the focus for the evening on creative and small businesses. The guest speakers for the evening were former pupils Beth Todd, who left the School in 2014, and James Wilkinson who left in 2010.
Vanessa Pearson left Churcher’s College in 2016 to go to the Arts University Bournemouth to pursue her passion for art and design. This summer Vanessa graduated with a First Class BA (Hons) degree in Modelmaking and the highest grade in her year. She was also awarded the ‘Dean’s Prize for the School of Art, Design and Architecture’ at her graduation ceremony.
Old Churcherian Edward Kelsey (1948), the actor who played Joe Grundy on BBC Radio 4 soap The Archers for 34 years, died on Tuesday 23 April at the age of 88.
