Millfield Sixth Form student Yuhka Machino has been named as one of the top young mathematical minds in Europe after placing second out of 195 contestants from 53 countries in the European Girls' Mathematical Olympiad, held as a virtual competition because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

King's Ely mathematicians have qualified for the national finals of the UK Team Maths Challenge.

Eleven year old Bhargav from Worsley in Greater Manchester has received a prestigious award by The Mathematical Association for his performance in this year’s Primary Mathematics Challenge (PMC), demonstrating his achievement as one of the best young mathematicians in the country.

Millfield Sixth Form student Yuhka Machino has won a bronze medal and honourable mention at the 2020 Romanian Master of Mathematics Competition in Bucharest, in February.

Four Year 7 and 8 pupils from Stroud Preparatory School in Romsey made it through to the Explore Learning Mathematics National Final this February. The Final, which took place at the Natural History Museum, was for the five top teams that qualified in the country.

King's Ely students were on top form in the fiercely-contested Senior Maths Challenge, bringing home a haul of Gold, Silver and Bronze certificates.
