Celebrating Sporting Excellence at Wycombe Abbey

Wycombe Abbey Senior Mia Rogers (2020) has signed a two-year contract with Durham Cricket, marking a significant milestone in her sporting career. Her journey from school-level competition to professional cricket is an inspiration to current pupils, demonstrating the impact of dedication and perseverance.
In netball, Issy (UV) has been selected to represent Scotland U17s at the Netball Europe Championships 2025. Competing at an international level will allow her to gain valuable experience and showcase her talent on a larger stage.
Meanwhile, Sophia Osborne (LV) has earned a place on the U19 GBR Junior Gymnastics Programme. This prestigious programme nurtures young gymnasts, and Sophia’s selection highlights her technical skill, discipline, and commitment to the sport. She will compete in both individual and team events, representing Great Britain in national and international competitions.
On the golf course, Serena (LVI) claimed victory at The Links in South Africa, winning the Ladies Club Championship. Reflecting on her achievement, she said:
‘I had a great time at The Links, and it was really satisfying to see my hard work pay off. The highlight was holing my last putt in front of the people in the clubhouse and the feeling of accomplishment that followed.’
Adding to this string of successes, LVI pupils Nell and Abila competed at the Southern Region British Youth Fencing Championship Qualifier, facing tough competition from skilled opponents. Both showcased exceptional technique and determination, earning their places at the National Championships in May.
