First Year Churcher's College pupil, Charlie, has cycled to Paris to raise money for his three-year-old cousin, Ralph, who is paralysed from the waist down and requires a specialised mobility trike.
Between Monday 19 and Friday 23 July, Charlie cycled 360km from Caen to Paris with his father Ed.
The hot weather made for extremely challenging conditions, but with grit and determination (and the odd café-stop along the way to re-charge their batteries), Charlie and Ed successfully finished the ride.
Initially Charlie wanted to raise a fifth of the cost, but through his mammoth effort, enough money was raised to buy the trike outright.
Here is his Just Giving page which includes a message from Charlie in his own words. You can also see posts about his journey on this Facebook page.
A huge well done to Charlie and the best of luck to Ralph as he tries his new trike!
