Cobham Hall School celebrates milestone: fully co-educational in 2025

Cobham Hall, a renowned independent school near Gravesend, is embarking on an exciting new chapter as it opens its doors to boys across all year groups. Founded over 60 years ago as a pioneering school for girls, Cobham Hall made history in 2023 by welcoming boys into its Sixth Form. The success of this milestone has now paved the way for full co-education, spanning from Year 7 to Year 13.

“It has been a pleasure to watch our Sixth Form boys thrive in Cobham’s distinctive family environment,” says Headmistress, Wendy Barrett. “We are now thrilled to welcome our first boys into all year groups.” 

Among this years September cohort is Bond, a Year 12 pupil from Thailand. “The transition into Cobham Hall gave me the opportunity to join a close-knit community,” he shares. “I feel like everyone looks after one another and treats each other like family.”

Set within a stunning historic estate and 150 acres of picturesque Kent countryside, yet just 30 minutes from central London, Cobham Hall provides the ideal blend of academic excellence and broad education.
