On Thursday 20th June, Cranleigh School held its first ever Strictly style dance show. Both boys and girls learned traditional dance styles over the last academic year. From waltz and quickstep, to cha cha and jive, the audience was dazzled all evening by the array of talent on display.
Katya Jones (from BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing) also provided a personalised video of support for the dancers, which was played on the evening.
Cranleigh opened its new dance studio the previous week, in conjunction with the new fitness centre and gym.
Dance is a strong part of the performing arts programme at Cranleigh, evident in the recent West Side Story musical and dance shows taking place through the year.
