Excellent GCSE results across the subject areas for Woldingham girls
Posted on 22nd Aug 2024 in School News, GCSEs, ExamsToday brings fantastic news for Woldingham Year 11 students, with 30% of all results at grade 9 and more than three quarters at grades 7-9. Results in biology, chemistry, physics, English language, geography, history, theology, Latin, PE and music were particularly impressive.
Gary Outram, Head of Year 11, said: “I’m thrilled for all our students today. They have achieved a wonderful set of results across the board, from STEM subjects, through humanities, to the creative arts. As a year group, they have worked hard and been very supportive of each other throughout their GCSE years. With the encouragement of our experienced and dedicated staff, they have today demonstrated the outcome of their resilience and determination, which will set up them up so well for Sixth Form and beyond. They move on to the next stage of their Woldingham journey with my congratulations and very best wishes.”
Woldingham’s new Head, Sue Baillie, added: “I am delighted for all the girls that sat GCSEs this year - what a great set of results across the subject areas! With the vast majority continuing their educational journey here at Woldingham, these students have much to look forward to - in particular, being the first cohort to enjoy our new Sixth Form Centre, which opens next week. I am confident they will continue to thrive, excel academically and embrace all that Woldingham has to offer both inside and outside the classroom. I look forward to getting to know all of them. Thank you to my new colleagues across the school for supporting our students so well and inspiring them to be lifelong learners.”
