DLD College London is celebrating its students’ exceptional GCSE results today, announcing an impressive 71% 9-4 (A*-C) with 28% graded 9-7 (A*-A).
Students collected their results from the Westminster Bridge-based school, with an outstanding 94% pass rate despite the tougher nature of the reformed GCSEs now adopting the new 9-1 grading system.
This is particularly impressive as all the students have undertaken the fast track intensive one-year GCSE programme.
One high-achiever, Sophia Millar achieved 5 x 9s, 2 x 8s and a 7 and will be continuing her studies at DLD College where she will be taking A Levels in Biology, Chemistry, Maths and Classical Civilisation with aspirations to study Natural Sciences or medicine at either Oxford or Cambridge.
DLD College London Principal, Irfan Latif commented, “Despite the reforms, these GCSE results are excellent and we are very proud of this year’s cohort for their achievements and determination to succeed. Our students and staff have worked incredibly hard which, alongside the outstanding teaching, pastoral care and support each student receives, is evident in these impressive grades.
“We wish them the very best of luck on their academic journeys and look forward to many of them continuing their studies with us.”
