It's Nativity Time at Babington!
Posted on 11th Dec 2019 in School NewsParents and Grandparents were treated to wonderful performances by Babington House School Nursery, Reception and Year 1 & 2 Classes.
Nursery, dressed in their Christmas jumpers, presented their ‘I-Spy Christmas’ where they retold the Christmas Story through song and phonics!
Reception class performed ‘A Miracle in Town’ telling the wonderful miracle of the very first Christmas that would change the world forever.
‘The Landlord’s Cat’ by Julia and Antony Copus was expertly performed by Years 1 & 2. Some children settle down for a night in their onesies for their Christmas story. They eagerly watch and listen to the story unfolding before their eyes. One night a young man and his wife arrive at the inn and are shown to the stable. To everyone else they seem like an ordinary couple but cats are wily and intuitive creatures and sense that something very special is about to happen.
Mr Lello, Headmaster commented, "I am delighted that Babington still enjoys the Christian Nativity story, especially when so many other schools are moving to a more secular focus."
A broad Christian ethos is promoted at Babington and will continue next week when we end the term with a celebration of Christmas with separate Carol Services at Christ Church for Prep and Senior Pupils.
