We are pleased to announce the publication of John Catt's Preparatory Schools 2023, our print and digital guide to more than 1,500 prep and junior schools in the UK providing education for 2–13-year-olds.

The 26th edition of this guidebook features profiles of more than 50 leading schools, as well as directory information on all schools with a prep department.

All this information is replicated in the pages of this website, where you can search for all independent schools by region, county, postcode and for day or boarding schools and single-sex schools.

There is also an editorial section featuring articles on a range of topics centred on preparatory education, including boarding, curriculum, wellbeing, diversity, and the future of Prep Schools. We will be posting these articles online over the coming weeks.
