King’s Ely students to showcase their work at London Cruise Show

Talented Fashion and Textiles students from King’s Ely are exhibiting their designs at this year’s London Cruise Show.

The Cruise Show, hailed as Europe’s largest event focused on the cruise industry, returns to London’s Olympia on Saturday and Sunday, February 17th and 18th to showcase the best of luxury travel by sea and river.

Among the displays and stands will be a stunning collection of work completed by GCSE and A Level Fashion and Design students at King’s Ely, themed to reflect the evolution of cruising or travelling by ocean from the 19th Century through to the current day.

It will be the first time that King’s Ely students have exhibited at the event, which is set to attract thousands of visitors over the two days, and Director of Art at King’s Ely Senior, Alison Rhodes, is understandably excited.

She said: ‘Our students were invited by the show organisers, Upper Street Events, to exhibit at the London Cruise Show and we are really excited. It is a wonderful opportunity for our Fashion and Textiles students to showcase their designs at a high profile venue.’

A number of complimentary tickets for King’s Ely parents are available. To claim yours, visit www.cruiseshow.co.uk/london/ and simply enter KINGS2018.
