London’s Olympia beckons for talented King’s Ely Fashion and Textiles students

Thousands of people are expected to attend the four-day event at London’s Olympia from March 1st to 4th and among the vast range of stands and displays will be an exhibition of garments completed by GCSE and A Level Fashion and Design students from King’s Ely.
The event comes less than a fortnight after the King’s Ely’s Art Department exhibited at the London Cruise Show, also held at Olympia.
Director of Art at King’s Ely Senior, Alison Rhodes, said: “This is another wonderful opportunity for our students, who will be able to investigate new materials sourced from the show, as well as make contact with professional designers.”
King’s Ely Fashion and Textiles students achieve some of the best GCSE and A Level results in the country, with many students going on to study at internationally-renowned universities and colleges such as Chelsea, Ravensbourne, Central Saint Martins, London College of Fashion, Royal School of Needlework Hampton Court Palace, Edinburgh and Falmouth.
The Spring Knitting and Stitching Show is the definitive event for anyone with a love of textile based craft.
