LVS Ascot students put on fantastic double bill production for end of term performance
Posted on 19th Dec 2022 in School News, Drama, Performing ArtsSenior school students at award-winning, independent day and boarding school LVS Ascot located on London Road, performed an outstanding double bill production featuring a play and musical from the 8th of December through to the 10th of December at the fully equipped on-site theatre.
Auditions took part in September, with students dedicating a huge amount of time rehearsing at the weekends and after school ever since. A cast of over 30 students took part in the production and did a fantastic job learning and performing the original music played by the band. The phenomenal lighting and design for both shows was put together by sixth form students.
Jessica Clark, Head of Performing Arts and Drama, said: “Both shows offered the students different challenges and opportunities and all the students involved rose to the challenge. All performances of the show were well received by audience members of all ages. Year 7-9 students were given the opportunity to watch as they have their own production in March, and I know they were inspired by what they saw. We are very proud of all the hard work the students and production team put in to making this possible”.
