On Monday 10 September, six new King’s Scholars were entered onto the Foundation of Rochester Cathedral in a special cathedral service led by the Dean of Rochester.

Following the re-foundation of the King’s School and Rochester Cathedral by King Henry VIII in 1542, scholarships have been awarded in his name to pupils following exceptional academic achievement in school or public examinations. King’s Scholars wear their white gowns for processing in School services and also join the Foundation of Rochester Cathedral.

This year Thomas Allsworth, Nathaniel Rushton, Oliver Davis, Oliver Lister, Todd Revell and Erez Li were admitted following achieving all A*/A grades in their entrance examinations, GCSEs and School examinations respectively. They join the other 15 current King’s Scholars and the long list of previous scholars whose names can be found in the Foundation book.
