Jasper, the school dog at Burgess Hill Girls, is delighted with his new uniform and sports kit, made by parent Vanessa Cordell.

During the COVID-19 pandemic school dog Jasper has become an even more important member of the team at Burgess Hill Girls. He is always available for a cuddle or a play when girls need him most.

Now in his second year as the official school dog, parent Vanessa Cordell decided it was time Jasper got his own school uniform.

Mrs Cordell teaches sewing and patchwork at Made and Making as well as helping to run Burgess Hill Girls’ second-hand uniform shop, so she was able to upcycle material from unsellable blazers, jumpers, kilts and blouses into two different outfits for Jasper. He now has his own version of the Prep School uniform and a sports kit for playing outside!

According to Jasper’s owner and School Nurse Liz Hall he is delighted with his new look; “Jasper loves wearing his new outfits, both during the day and at night. He had quite a severe haircut prior to the second lockdown, so the uniform is keeping him nice and cosy.”
