Northbourne Park School nursery wins ‘Top 20 Award 2018’

Parents have rated nurseries in the South East, with Northbourne Park Pre-Prep School in Deal, Kent coming in the Top 20 out of 1931 nurseries.

The top 20 nurseries in the South East received an award from the leading day nurseries review site, daynurseries.co.uk, with the award based on the nursery’s reviews from the children’s families and carers.

The nursery is a happy, safe and stimulating environment, where the children thrive and learn, supported by adults who understand and care for them with a daily routine providing a balance between child-initiated and teacher-directed activities. The classrooms are welcoming and colourful with displays of the children’s work. The Nursery is set out with different areas, for role play, writing, cosy book corner reading, creative work, construction, sand and water play.

The nursery classrooms are situated on the ground floor, with direct access to our outdoor area and garden in a beautiful rural location. Many children enjoy learning outside and there are always activities based outside during the day so that the children can take their learning outdoors if they prefer. Great use is made of the wonderful grounds of the Pre-Prep and Prep Schools to enhance the children’s learning – going on nature walks to observe the changes in the seasons, visiting the pond to look for creatures or visiting the school vegetable gardens to see what’s growing. All the children benefit from weekly Forest School sessions.

In addition, the children enjoy learning French and Music with specialist teachers and they are fully included in a range of daily activities with the older children which makes for a wonderful community spirit.
