Old Hallifordian girls enjoy reunion event
Posted on 30th Jan 2023 in School News, AlumniOn Saturday 28 January, Halliford School were delighted to host the Old Hallifordian Girls Reunion Event and welcome guests back to enjoy afternoon tea and the production of the school play, The Odyssey.
We were joined by Old Hallifordian girls from various years, including some recent leavers who left last year. It was great to catch up and hear what the girls have been doing since they left Halliford as we enjoyed a delicious array of sandwiches and cakes produced by our chef and in-house catering team.
Our previous Head of Sixth Form, Mr Slocock, enjoyed seeing some of the girls he guided through the Sixth Form, and Mr Carroll, our current Head of Sixth Form, was able to catch up with our most recent leavers. Old Hallifordian Chairman, Mr Sam Lawrence, also joined us for this event, alongside some of our current Sixth Form girls.
We took our guests on a tour of the school, and they commented on how much it had changed since their time. They were particularly impressed with our Learning Resource Centre in the Woodward Building and the facilities for the Sixth Form, which have changed significantly since they attended the school.
The evening concluded as we joined friends and families of Halliford in the marquee for a pre-show drink before heading upstairs to the John Crook Theatre to watch The Odyssey. What a super evening as our students showcased their amazing acting talent in this epic production.
Thank you to everyone who joined us for this event, and we look forward to hosting another Reunion Event soon.
