An amazing £1981.75 was raised by Churcher's College Junior children’s fundraising efforts for the Read for Good charity.

Head Teacher Mrs Ffion Robinson said she was incredibly impressed with all the children’s contributions, with 11 children raising more than £50 in sponsorship and, of those, two were sponsored for more than £100! To recognise this amazing individual effort, we awarded a Year 5 pupil for raising £105 and a Year 2 pupil for raising £110 a book token for their fundraising efforts.

There was also a class prize for participation; 17 out of 22 children in 4P raised £203.11 – well done; and 5T, although with fewer participants, 14 out of 22 children raised a magnificent £584.20. Mrs Kathleen Tkaczynska received a special prize for continuing her school record of her form raising the most money!

It was a superb effort whatever the individual children raised and a huge thank you to Mrs Linda Robbins for co-ordinating and counting the monies.
