​Regional Gymnastic success secures Maltman's Green a place at the Nationals

Girls from Maltman's Green have taken first place at the British Schools Gymnastics Association's Southern Regional Floor and Vault competition.

On Sunday 6th February the Maltman's Green U11 A Squad gymnasts competed in the British Schools Gymnastics Association's Southern Regional Floor and Vault competition held at St Mary’s. The Maltman’s girls were first up on the floor and set the precedence, with some excellent scores. The girls showed control, athleticism, flare and determination with Layla scoring the highest on the floor.

Next, it was the vault. Run ups were measured and the girls were hitting the springboard with speed and power. Amber and Evelyn both wowed the judges by landing their vaults with precision to achieve perfect scores!

It was then a tense wait while the other schools finished off and the results were announced.

The Maltman's girls came in 1st place, putting them straight through to the NATIONALS in March. Congratulations to the team!
