Scholarships reflect breadth of quality education at Highfield and Brookham School

A progressive independent school in Hampshire has further strengthened its enviable reputation for providing a robust all-round education with another impressive haul of scholarships.

Twenty-two pupils from Highfield and Brookham School in Liphook have this year secured an incredible 29 scholarships between them to ten different senior schools, including Wellington College, Charterhouse, Marlborough College, Cranleigh and Benenden.

And the prized awards cover nine different subjects, including academia, music, sport, dance, DT, art and drama, underlining the school’s quality and strength right across the curriculum.

While 24 scholarships were awarded to children leaving Year 8, the most common exit point at Highfield and Brookham, five were also awarded to children leaving at the end of Year 6; showing that the school is successful in tailoring the journey to senior school for each individual child.

The latest batch of sought-after senior school scholarships takes the thriving nursery, pre-prep and prep school’s tally to an astonishing 166 in the past decade alone, a key reason why many parents choose a Highfield and Brookham education for their children.

The scholarships are another big vote of confidence for the school’s progressive curriculum which blends the stepping stones for academic achievement with the development of essential life skills.

Highfield and Brookham, which sits in 175-acre grounds on the rural borders of Hampshire, Surrey and West Sussex, is committed to excellence and uses the Skills Builder Accelerator Programme, which offers a structured approach to teaching and assessing essential skills such as teamwork, creativity, problem solving and leadership, and ensures that children are equipped with skills that will serve them well throughout education and beyond.

The school also recently unveiled its own dedicated scholarship programme aimed at children in Year 5.
