The celebration of Apple Day is a perfect fit for Hazlegrove Prep School

Set within the idyll of the Somerset countryside and surrounded on all four sides by farmland, environmental awareness and celebrating nature are second nature for Hazlegrove. The Pre Prep children did everything apple based to celebrate Apple Day.

The Pre Prep children, who all enjoy weekly Forest School did everything apple based for their own celebration of Apple Day. 

The activities including drawing, cutting, coring, peeling, measuring as well as tasting different varieties and dipping their favourites in chocolate. Common Ground, a national charity now based in Shaftesbury, first introduced Apple Day in 1990 at Covent Garden and it has become an annual celebration of traditional orchards and the wonderful diversity of apples they provide. 

It is certainly a day to which the children at Hazlegrove all look forward.
