The Froebelian School reveals once in a lifetime opportunity
Posted on 10th Dec 2024 in School NewsIn a ground breaking initiative to support families, The Froebelian School, Horsforth is thrilled to announce that it will be offering the chance for one family to win free fees for a pupil, for entire academic year.
This unprecedented move aims to ease the financial burden on parents and foster a strong sense of community during challenging and uncertain times.
In December, the whole school will be wrapped as a giant advent calendar and Froebelian families will win the opportunity to open ‘a door’ every day from 2 – 25 December.
There will be an extraordinary selection of additional prizes including a year’s free lunches, all of which will reflect the school’s commitment to providing high-quality education while prioritising the well-being of pupils and their families.
Headteacher Anna Coulson said: “By eliminating fees for a year, we hope to not only alleviate financial stress but also strengthen our community ties. Our goal is to ensure that every child has the opportunity to thrive without the added worry of educational costs.”
Anna has worked tirelessly to navigate a way through the current Government imposition of VAT, including having the privilege of being one of only three Headteachers invited to attend a debate in The House of Lords regarding this issue. She said: “Being part of the discussion first hand allowed me to advocate for our community and gain a deeper understanding of the implications this will have on schools like ours.”
Froebelian is dedicated to fostering an inclusive environment where all families feel valued and supported and this initiative comes in response to feedback from parents, who have expressed concerns about the rising costs of education.
In addition, the school will be hosting a series of community events, workshops, and support sessions throughout the year to further engage parents and enhance the educational experience for all pupils.
Anna Coulson added: “In an ideal world we’d be able to help every family in the UK to navigate this uncertain time, but our once in a lifetime experience plan, gives us the opportunity to give back and expresses just how much we value and appreciate the ongoing trust and partnership of all of our families.”
