Tomorrow’s Women 2024 at Burgess Hill Girls

On Friday 3rd May, Sixth Formers at Burgess Hill Girls will host their Tomorrow’s Women conference. The theme for this year’s conference is ‘Women in Power’ and will take place between 6pm and 8pm. Free tickets are available for students in Sussex aged fourteen to eighteen.

The Tomorrow’s Women conference is unique in that it is created and organised by Sixth Form students at Sussex independent school Burgess Hill Girls. They are involved in producing every aspect of the conference, from deciding on the format, to selecting speakers and hosting the event.

The speakers have been hand selected by the producer team to reflect the careers and industries that interest themselves and their fellow students. The programme includes Vice-Chancellor of the University of Brighton professor Debra Humphris, founder and CEO of 2nd Line of Defence Lisa Baskott, actress and screenwriter Holly Goss, Liberal Democrats Parliamentary Candidate for Mid Sussex Alison Bennett, and Imperial College London senior lecturer Dr Nazila Kamaly. All the speakers will share the ups and downs of their careers giving attendees invaluable tips on how to fulfil their ambitions.

We are sure they will be invaluable to any girls like us who are looking to make their mark on the world."”

Head of Sixth Form at Burgess Hill Girls, Iain-Regan-Smith is delighted to see the conference in its sixth year. “We encourage our students to be bold in their learning and life choices.
