Top marks for The Queen’s School after ‘excellent’ inspection
Posted on 4th May 2022 in School News, AchievementsThe Queen’s School in Chester is proud to retain the top rating of ‘excellent’ in all areas after a recent ISI inspection.
A team of five inspectors from the Independent Schools Inspectorate spent three days at the school in March conducting a Focused Compliance and Educational Quality Inspection Report, which includes a Regulatory Compliance Inspection as well as an Educational Quality Inspection.
Queen’s has been awarded the highest possible judgement of ‘excellent’ for the Educational Quality aspect of the inspection, which focuses on the achievements of pupils including their academic and personal development. The Regulatory Compliance element is only judged as met or un-met and the school met all the standards with no recommendations on further action being given.
Headmistress Mrs Sue Wallace-Woodroffe said: "I am so pleased that the inspection report confirms what we as a school know; that our students are receiving the very best education in an environment that nurtures and challenges them."
"Gaining feedback and review from an external body in addition to our committed approach to listening to the views of pupils, parents, and staff is important, as it objectively verifies what we know makes Queen’s the fantastic school it is. We are proud that The Queen’s School ranks amongst the best schools in the country, and we will continue to make those incremental changes to ensure Queen’s remains at the forefront of providing girls the highest quality of a holistic education.
"The report is a testament to the hard work and dedication of staff across the school as well as our students, who come to school each day eager and ready to learn, and as the report states ‘make excellent contributions to the school and community, fulfilling roles and responsibilities to a high level’. I want to thank my outstanding team as well as the students and parents for making Queen’s the place it is, I am very proud to lead this ‘excellent’ school."
