Many congratulations to Woldingham's Upper Sixth leavers who are today celebrating a fantastic set of A Level results, winning them places at top universities in the UK and overseas. With subjects ranging from engineering, veterinary medicine and architecture to criminology, classics and liberal arts, they are looking forward to exciting futures. We are thrilled that 50% of all grades awarded were A*/A and 82% of grades were A*-B. Almost one third of our students achieved a clean sweep of A* and A grades.

Kornelia, Hannah and Lara achieved four A*s and Zana three A*s and two As. Our Head Girl Alison and Deputy Head Girls Immy and Georgie all achieved a clean sweep of A*/A grades. Immy is heading to study Veterinary Medicine at Nottingham, Georgie is bound for Edinburgh to study Philosophy and Theology and fellow Deputy Lara will study Natural Sciences at Durham.

Isabel leaves us to study Music at St Catherine’s, Cambridge with a prestigious organ scholarship. Isabel won top honours at this year’s National Chamber Music Festival for Schools, performing with fellow leaver Cherry, who will study Chemical Physics at Edinburgh.

LSE beckons for Sophie and Zoe, Sophie to study Social Anthropology and Zoe, Psychological and Behavioural Science. Rachel is going to study Medical Biosciences at Imperial and Anisia will study Archaeology and Ancient Civilisations at Durham. Other popular UK universities for Woldingham students include Exeter, Bristol and Southampton.

We are also celebrating success for students choosing to study overseas. Mineh heads to Rhode Island School of Design, USA, to study Fine Art; Kornelia and Zana will study in Poland - Kornelia, Medicine at the University of Gdansk and Zana, Physics at the University of Warsaw; Madelief is going to Amsterdam; and Tara will take a fashion and design course at the Istituto Marangoni, Italy.

Julia Harrington, Head, said, “I am absolutely thrilled by today’s A Level results. The girls have shown maturity, dedication and confidence throughout their Upper Sixth year and their results reflect this. They have won places to study such a broad range of subjects which epitomise the strengths and opportunities we offer across STEM, humanities and the creative arts at Woldingham. Huge congratulations to all our leavers, who depart with our very best wishes, leaving as confident, courageous and compassionate young women.”
