Wycombe Abbey alumna appointed as Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Youth Ambassador

Zara is now part of an esteemed group of 35 Duke of Edinburgh Award holders, aged 16-24, selected from across the UK who will champion the voices of young people, using their knowledge and experiences to highlight important issues affecting their generation. She will represent youth perspectives at events, engage with policymakers and leaders in Parliament and other key arenas, and play an active role in shaping the future direction of the charity’s work.
Reflecting on her journey, Zara shared: "Gaining my Gold Award at Wycombe Abbey was a truly amazing experience. DofE not only allowed me to develop key skills such as resilience and leadership but also allowed me to make unforgettable memories. I am thrilled to be able to advocate for young people across the UK through my role as a Youth Ambassador, helping to inspire others to embark on their own DofE journey."
Wycombe Abbey is incredibly proud of Zara’s achievements and is confident she will excel in this important and rewarding role. The school looks forward to seeing her make a meaningful impact and inspire others on their DofE adventure.
