A Barrow Hills pupil is reaching for the stars after winning a national competition to design a spacecraft for NASA.

Barrow Hills’ intrepid Under 13 boys’ hockey team is celebrating success once again after qualifying for the national finals of the Independent Association of Prep Schools (IAPS) hockey tournament.

Children from Barrow Hills School showcased their many talents when they staged a spectacular performance of Cameron Mackintosh’s iconic Les Misérables the longest running musical in the world which recently celebrated its 32nd anniversary and is still breaking box office records around the globe.

Ahead of the Christmas festivities, children at Barrow Hills School who participated in a Kindness Project run by the charity 52 Lives, were reminded of the importance of simply spreading kindness.

Barrow Hills School opened its doors to the public for guided tours of the historic building and grounds on Saturday 9th September for the third consecutive year, as part of the celebrations associated with the national Heritage Open Days initiative, England’s biggest festival of history and culture.
