With the arrival of new Head, Catherine Hitchcock, Donhead Prep School is planning for an exciting future ahead. This being Donhead's 90th year, the school is celebrating 'blending tradition with innovation' and will become fully coeducational welcoming girls and boys from 3-11 years old in September 2024.

Steeped in history this Catholic Preparatory School has the very foundations of the school rooted in Character Education as pupils work towards modelling Jesuit Pupil virtues that help them develop as 'men and women for others'. With a motto of 'Semper Magis' (always more), you will find excellence within academic results and an impressive number of scholarships to London Day Schools. The broad curriculum encompasses specialist teachers and there are bespoke facilities for Art, Music, Languages, Computing and Sports. With a new outdoor classroom, the forest school for Donhead's youngest pupils is developing on site and outdoor learning is integrated into the curriculum across the whole school.

All pupils at Donhead have the chance to be part of the Student Leadership Team with opportunities to stand as a Prefect and a member of the Student and Eco Councils. Renowned for the nurturing environment and pastoral care it provides, Donhead has a long-standing ELSA programme and a wellbeing dog called Dory who has joined the community this year. The Buddy Programme is a mentoring system where Year 6 pupils are teamed up with a pupil in Reception or Year 1 to act as a support and role model throughout the year, hosting 'Buddy Time' which involves annual events and weekly reading, Lego, lunches and playtime together. A focus on supporting transition at all stages of education but especially in preparation for senior school entry ensures that all pupils develop the skills needed for a rapidly evolving future.
