Ewell Castle School is an award winning, happy and successful co-educational independent HMC (The Heads' Conference) mid-sized day school on the Surrey/London borders near Epsom, which delivers a progressive 21st century education. Proud of its friendly, accessible and inclusive ethos, it is located in a beautiful, charming, peaceful and historical conservation area across four sites within Ewell Village. Easily accessible by public transport (local buses and both Ewell East and Ewell West train stations) the school also offers school transport for Years 3-8 from areas in southwest London. Non-selective, Ewell Castle is a genuinely mixed-ability school that offers children aged 4 to 18 the benefits of a family-friendly atmosphere whilst maintaining a stimulating and rigorous academic programme. Its Sixth Formers go on to a wide range of universities and colleges to study maths, engineering, business, history, economics and medicine which for some includes Oxbridge and Russell Group universities. Others choose to follow the degree apprenticeship route, take up tennis or golf scholarships in the USA, a GAP year or work.

The school, which takes a holistic approach to wellbeing and the needs of the individual child, has an enviable reputation for pastoral care and wellbeing. This is facilitated by small class sizes, a personalised and high-performance approach and outstanding SEN provision. There is an absolute commitment to wellbeing which includes a school counsellor and ELSAs (Emotional Literacy Support Assistant) at both the Prep and Senior sites and a new Ewellness programme. The school is embedding a high-performance culture and is one of just a few in the country that follows High Performance Learning (HPL), a philosophy that identifies the key characteristics for successful teaching and learning and emphasises a growth mindset. An embodiment of its high-performance culture is Ewell Castle Tennis Academy, an elite sports programme that is ranked number 2 in the UK at U18 boys and regularly produces players who win tennis scholarships to US universities.

Ewell Castle School is proudly mixed ability, so whilst some of its students do go on to Oxbridge and other top universities not all do. It occupies a niche position in the market and does not see itself in competition with highly-academically selective schools in the area. This hidden gem of a school appeals to families who seek it out for its ability to deliver educational progress, not just exam results. The delivery of academic progress alongside confidence and emotional intelligence in its pupils is why Ewell Castle has great appeal, and it meets a growing demand in the market.
