Felsted School responded to the decision to close by the Government on Friday 20th March. However, thirteen international students were not able to get home due to restrictions in their home countries, cancelled flights or no flights at all! Felsted’s duty of care to these students put them at the front of any decision making process by the School, at a stressful time when the students were very concerned for their own families and just wanted to be at home.
During a time of uncertainty, Felsted School’s community is embracing the new need for distance learning using both new and previously established online resources.
On the 1st March, Felsted School’s Model United Nations (MUN) held its eleventh annual conference on the theme of climate, hosting 17 schools from across the region, including a selection of delegates from Felsted Prep School.
Felsted School are working to make a difference through the sales of coffee to the local community. Safi Coffee is a special pupil-led initiative that imports Ugandan coffee to sell across the UK, in partnership with Hull Collegiate School and Highgate School.
Felsted School has seen some excellent university offers for pupils this year, across a wide range of leading universities, with almost half from Russell Group Universities and three from Oxbridge.
Felsted School’s U16 Squash team are through to the National Finals for the first time in school history after their triumph in the Stage 1 and 2 Regional Rounds of the English National School Championship.
