At Hallfield School, our mission is to light the fire in every child and discover its interests and passions.
For some children, brilliance is found in the classroom, solving a mathematical problem or writing a poem, conducting a science experiment or programming a robot. For others, it's found on the sports fields, in the Forest School, mastering an instrument, on the stage or caring for others. We believe in the potential of every child.
Founded in 1879, our traditions lay in our over 140-year history as the leading prep school in Birmingham, but our continued success is in our ability to adapt and evolve to the ever-changing world we live in. Our aim is simple: to equip our pupils with the skills, knowledge and attitudes to thrive as global citizens in a rapidly changing world.
At Hallfield, we strike the perfect balance of focusing on both academia and the well-being of your child, ensuring their personal development is at the heart of everything we do. We offer a pathway to 11+ that supports pupils in going on to attend local independent and state grammar schools. Others continue their journey with Hallfield Seniors where they can expect a unique and tailor-made start to their senior education, preparing them for some of the most distinguished local and national independent schools.
We are the only prep school in Birmingham to cater for children aged 3 months to 13 years. Nestled in 22-acres oasis with extensive grounds and first-class facilities we are a stone’s throw from Birmingham City Centre and Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
Our diverse community is founded on our Christian principles. Tolerance, respect, humility and generosity of spirit are interwoven into the curriculum and every aspect of our school.
Our children are bright, engaged and proud to be Hallfieldians.
We invite you to get in touch, arrange a visit and feel the "buzz of Hallfield" for yourself.
