Year 7 pupils at Hazlegrove Prep School were set a challenge in DT to make ride-on toys for Nursery children out of recycled materials. The toys were donated to The Women's Refuge.
The Hazlegrove Park Run is a 1.8km parkland running course that takes place every Tuesday and Thursday lunchtime at 12:45pm. Boys and Girls from Year 3 to 8 come along and change into PE kit and run the beautiful course.
Year 5 children from Hazlegrove Prep School have filled shoe boxes with gifts and useful items to be sent off to Moldova in Eastern Europe to help disadvantaged children and young persons in support of the Mustard Seed Charity.
Children at Hazlegrove Prep School commemorated the 100th anniversary of Armistice with a seven-metre long collage of hand made poppies, a special service of remembrance and assembly.
Every Autumn term, the Maths Department at Hazlegrove Prep School puts the normal programme of maths lessons on hold for just one week and have an enormous amount of fun exploring the maths behind an unusual topic. This term the focus was ‘Maths Down on the Farm’.
Hazlegrove Prep School, with its many forces children, is creating an art installation to which the whole school community will contribute to help the children understand Remembrance and all that is symbolises both for the past and the future.
