With its aims of instilling values and inspiring minds, Mill Hill School educates boys and girls aged 13 to 18 and offers day places alongside weekly and full boarding. Founded in 1807, Mill Hill is the oldest and largest school in the Mill Hill Education Group, and one of the UK's leading HMC schools. Committed to the development of every pupil, the School believes that its friendly and supportive community plays a vital role in fostering this growth.

Situated in Mill Hill and set in 120 acres of beautiful grounds, just 10 miles from Central London with easy access to underground and main line stations. The grounds provide a spacious setting for the academic buildings, boarding houses and extensive sports facilities.

Seeking to equip pupils for both present and future life, the School provides a stimulating academic environment and offers numerous activities outside the classroom to encourage learning and personal growth.

Our School's academic rigour and support sets us apart, with a wide choice of subjects that caters to the needs of our diverse pupil body. With that, our unique setting, history and culture allows us to recruit and retrain the very best teachers in the UK, allowing us to have a talented, dedicated team of teachers. We consistently demonstrate impressive academic results, with students achieving the necessary grades needed for their next step in their educational journey.

Participation in the co-curricular and leadership opportunities is a vital part of every pupil’s experience at the School. In our latest ISI Inspection, the School's co-curricular programme was rated 'a significant strength'. We encourage pupils to explore new interests and skills which will change them and stay with them for life. With such a vast offering, from Astronomy Club to Video production, from Rugby to Jazz Band, there is something for everyone. If pupils express a new interest and wish to make a club, we will make happen.

Being a small school has the advantage that there are many more opportunities to be selected for leadership roles. From being appointed Prefect to representing the Student Council, there is something for everyone to leave their mark at the School.

The wellbeing of our pupils is at the core of everything we do. We have an intricate web of support systems in place, ensuring that each pupil feels valued and cared for.

We also have a historic House system that creates smaller communities, with an average of 80 pupils per House, of pupils and teachers within the School. It deepens our culture in many and varies ways, bringing opportunities for pupils to develop a wide range of talents.

In 2024, 66% of all GCSE passes achieved were graded 9-7. At A-Level, 52% of all passes achieved were A*/A. Our Sixth Formers have access to a range of experts in school and in partner organisations who guide them on their options, with many pupils going on to further study at a wide range of Russell Group and international universities.

The two main points of entry to the School are the 13+ for Year 9 entry, 16+ for entry at the Lower Sixth, with a few occasional places via the 14+ for our Year 10 year group.
