Our commitment to delivering exceptional education is evident in our 'Excellent' rating from the most-recent inspection from the Independent Schools Inspectorate. Alongside our impressive record of first-choice secondary school placements, our Year 6 cohort (of 34 pupils) were offered an unparalleled 30 scholarships, and, in 2022, 97% of our early years pupils achieved a 'good level of development' in EYFSP vs the local average of 67% and the national average of 65%.
Unique Educational Pathways
Oakfield is the only independent prep school in the area without an attached secondary school. This unique positioning allows us to focus entirely on nurturing the individual talents, strengths, and interests of our pupils from ages 2 to 11. Unlike other prep schools where children are automatically funnelled into the attached secondary school, we specialise in preparing our pupils for their own best possible future by helping them discover their passions and guiding them to the secondary school that best fits their individual needs.
One unique example of this is The Oakfield Diploma. Completed by all Year 6 pupils, it is a comprehensive programme that includes academic, sporting, and personal development activities which helps them truly discover themselves and is completely unique to our school. It equips our pupils with transferable skills and experiences, ensuring they are well-rounded individuals ready to excel in the next stage of their education.
