Slindon College

Slindon College is an Independent Boarding and Day School providing a Specialist Learning Environment for boys aged 8-18, set in the historic Slindon House in the South Downs National Park. Slindon College is a purposefully small school with an inclusive boarding community. Classes have a maximum of 10 pupils to ensure individual needs are met and to promote personal development.

Individual Support

Experienced academic and boarding staff work together to provide pupils with individual support. At Slindon College we support a wide range of Specific Learning Difficulties (SpLD) including (but not limited to); literacy difficulties including Dyslexia, numeracy difficulties including Dyscalculia, speech, language and communication difficulties, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Dyspraxia.

Specialist Teaching

Slindon College has a team of Specialist Teachers and in-house Occupational and Speech and Language Therapists. Specialist Teachers at the school continuously liaise with subject teachers to disseminate useful individualised strategies. Great care is taken to ensure that all pupils are supported to develop their strengths and overcome any weaknesses across the curriculum.

A Wide Curriculum

In addition to core classroom based subjects, the offering at Slindon College extends to everything from specialist drama and music sessions through to Land Based Studies on our College Farm and Design Technology and Engineering and Motor Mechanics. Slindon College's Greenpower electric car racing team is one of our most popular enrichment activities.

Mental Fitness

The 'Mental Fitness' team at Slindon College provide unwavering support to all pupils for their emotional growth, resilience and overall wellbeing. Slindon College holds the Carnegie Centre for Mental Health in Schools Silver Award and was shortlisted for both ISA and BSA Awards for Mental Health and Wellbeing.
