St Swithun’s school’s U15 cricket team has won the regional Lady Taverners indoor cricket tournament at The Ageas Bowl. They defeated Queen’s College, Somerset in the final, meeting the target 39 runs in just five overs.
St Swithun’s school contributed £12.6m towards Winchester’s gross domestic product (GDP) in the last financial year, according to a report carried out by Oxford Economics for the Independent Schools Council (ISC). This represented 0.26% of the city’s total GDP.
Talented athlete Maddie Turner (17), who is currently studying for her A levels at St Swithun’s, has been selected for a place on the 2018–2020 Athletics Academy in Sporting Excellence programme.
