For the second year running, senior girls won both senior prizes at the Rotary Young Writer Competition 2020. Manor House School pupils also won a record number of Highly Commended awards!

The English Department at Manor House School in Bookham devised a creative learning project for Year 9 pupils of the Senior School. Their task was to work in groups to create, write and design a children’s book to read and present to younger pupils in the Lower Prep School.

This year World Book Day was on Thursday 5th March, but the girls at Maltman’s Green School got to celebrate Book Week – a whole week of fun activities to inspire a love of reading.

Senior School pupils had the great pleasure of welcoming author Vicky Holmes (more commonly known under the pseudonym Erin Hunter) on 27th January 2020.

As part of Petworth Festival Literary Week, popular children’s author and illustrator, Andréa Prior, visited Highfield and Brookham Schools in Liphook recently.

An Autumn Mini Literature Festival for Years 5 and 6 was an opportunity to meet not one but two fabulous authors to hear all about the ideas behind their new books.
